Registration - Patients who have recently moved into the Paisley area are able to register with the practice. We are currently unable to register any patients who are already registered with a practice within the PA1,PA2 and PA3 (1,2 4) postcodes.

Finding the right care

Ear Irrigation

From the 22nd November 2023 ear irrigation will now be available in Renfrewshire through self referral. The direct contact number is 0141 207 7760 and the clinic will be ran every Wednesday in the treatment room at Renfrew Health and Social Work Centre. There will be a high demand for this service and patients should be aware there may be a waiting list initially.  


Services

All GP practices are contracted to provide “essential services” that is basic treatment of people who are ill. We also provide the following “additional services”

Contraceptive Services

We provide contraception services including insertion & removal of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive implants. Specialist services such as IUCD implants are available at the local Family Planning Clinic.

Postnatal Services

Once you have had your baby you will be issued a 6 week appointment for you and your baby. This should be arranged by your health visitor.

Travel Immunisations

As of April 1st 2022 General Practices will no longer be providing travel health services. Patients should access information on what vaccinations are required, together with malarial and safe travel advice from the links below-

If you are unable to access the Fit for travel website you can call the NHS Inform  helpline number 0800 22 44 88 

General Vaccinations - NHSGGC

Ad hoc vaccinations will also no longer be the responsibility of practices from 1st April. Patients will need to be referred by the practice and will be asked to complete a form - see link below. Patients should be aware that they may receive a call from an 0800 or withheld number in order to arrange the appointment.

Well woman/Cervical smears

We urge all women to have regular cervical smears and perform regular self- examination of the breasts.  If you are aged between 20 and 60 and have not had a cervical smear in the last 3 years, please make an appointment to have this done.

  • Chronic disease monitoring including asthma, stroke, hypertension and COPD.
Minor Surgery

We also hold contracts with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde for the following “enhanced services”:

  • Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problems.
  • A methadone substitution programme for patients with drug abuse problems.
