District Nursing Team

nurse_care_at_homeThe attached District Nursing Team assess and provide nursing care to Patients in their own home. They provide advice, support and care for a variety of conditions and work in close liaison with the practice team and other support agencies.

Health Visiting Team

The health visiting team offers support and health advice to families with babies and children under 5 years on topics such as breastfeeding, postnatal depression, child development and information on local groups.  They assess the needs of the elderly who are housebound and are able to refer to other agencies as appropriate.  They also offer lifestyle advice on smoking, exercise and healthy eating.

District Midwife Team

The attached district midwife team from the RAH work with the doctors at the Ante-Natal Clinic in the surgery.  They are involved in the care of the mother and baby before, during and after the delivery in the hospital and at home.

Counselling Services

The Doctor may suggest you contact our counsellor. An appointment can be arranged by telephoning the surgery and leaving your details with the Receptionist. The counsellor will be in contact with you as soon as possible. Please note there may be a waiting list for counselling services.
